There have been a lot of brilliant posts already produced about the Blog Camp in Birmingham last weekend. It was a lot of fun and I felt quite priviledged to be able to hang out with some of my lovely friends. Which is the best part of going, if I'm honest. That, and the cake! I thought I would approach this post from a different angle so, what follows is something a bit different. A collection of photos of everything that amused me, made me happy, or was just a little bit bonkers at Blog Camp. I hope even non bloggers can appreciate the silliness.
This sign pretty much summed most of us up after a few cups of tea. I think it's a tribute to the great tea they serve at The Studio that they have a sign like this!
This bottle top. I was fascinated by it, isn't it beautiful? I played around with it way more than was strictly necessary. Hope no one noticed.
There was an aeroplane in the coffee area. Yes, you heard me. An aeroplane.
And this thing. What even is that? Some sort of art creation. Could've cleaned the tea spoons first. Maybe it's a statement about washing up. Or something.
This lady. From Mummy of 3 Diaries, she always makes me smile. Helpfully already residing in Birmingham, ready for when I get lost.
This is called 'Learn on the Loo'. It consists of fascinating facts you can enjoy all about Birmingham. Conveniently (pun, sorry!) affixed to the back of the toilet door!
This sign made me chuckle because it pretty much sums up most of the bloggers I know. There is always something new to learn and we spend many an evening blindly trying to help each other through.
This was actually in our hotel afterwards, but it amused me. It looks like it should be a mirror, but it's actually a very long, but totally perfect, corridor. A tribute to the cleanliness of the Travelodge, I guess!
I will leave the last word to Julie from Julie's Notebook. She needs no introduction, that face says it all. Bit bonkers, love her!
I hope you've enjoyed this introduction to the crazier side of blogging. If you're a blogger and you haven't been along to an event yet, hopefully I will see you at the next one!

From both your and others' accounts, it sounds like Blogcamp was a great day. A shame I couldn't make it due to another commitment. Ah well, maybe next year.

ReplyDeleteI love your take on the Blog Camp, these photos are fab. I've been there many times and they do have some crazy things in other rooms too, like giant bean bags for chairs, a Tardis lift door, An amazing staircase, a shelf full of board games..and many more. The Studio is a great place to visit.
