ReplyDeleteI really enjoy finding out about the person behind the blog xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat makes a great blog? Mmmmm It's a hard one! I read really varied blogs depending on if I am looking for views/opinions/reviews on a specific thing...
ReplyDeleteGreat flow of content; not JUST reviews!
Spelling! Something that really gets my goat is apalin spellin' or txt spk arghhhhhh!
Great content, proof read - real life, there you go! You already do a grand job xx
I'm with you on the spelling!!

ReplyDeleteYou recently did a blog post about Juice Plus and it ave me a good insight into something because of how you had written it rather than me trawling through boring long winded stuff!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading posts that a relevant, items that are useful in the home or make up being reviewed. I also like reading about bloggers entering and winning giveaways!
ReplyDeleteI like variety! Being a mum, I'm interested in kiddie related things, bargains, advice & recipes! I hate it when a post is quite long winded, I think its just best to get straight to the point. Having a look round your blog, I think your doing a great job!
ReplyDeleteI like your quirkyness (yes that is a word ;) ) .You can tell your an hinest blogge rin the way you come accross
ReplyDeleteA genuine enthusiasm and passion for what a blogger writes about is probably the main thing, though of course not all subjects will appeal to all readers. I have fairly eclectic interests but love your quirky style. i often read blogs and don't comment due to shyness, something I'm working on since starting to blog a little myself and understanding how nice it is to read them. But I have looked in quite a bit before and think you write well and it comes across as very genuine. I'm never going to read every single article on any blog and there are so many parenting blogs it's a very difficult area to stand out in but your writing style is original which is great.
ReplyDeleteThe main thing that puts me off a blog is if it is hard to navigate - some bloggers seem to go crazy on the artwork and badges so their pages look really full and colourful - but you can't find anything. Yours is laid out so I know where to look. Hurray!
I just love reading what different people are up to and experiencing. Reviews are always good too :-)
ReplyDeleteblogs that are regularly updated with relevant items are always worth return visits and the ones that do rafflecopter with 20 requests for a pize generally don't get returned to x
ReplyDeleteI like to read about moneysaving ideas, whether by food/shopping/insurances/holiday bargains any ideas to get things cheaper. Nowadays we need all the help we can get as we are all struggling to live.
ReplyDeleteI like reviews of products best. Keep it simple too - hate blogs full of fancy stuff and pictures of offspring! Nice pics of food always enticing too :-)
ReplyDeleteBruce Kennedy
I love lots of pictures, lots of personal posts and not too much sponsored stuff :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading product reviews and about what happens in other peoples days
ReplyDeletePlaces to go and people to see seem like a safe bet. I loved your 'A secret agent saves the day ' blog. However it is a genre of writing that, for me is in its infancy and I am enjoying the varied pieces that I find to read.
ReplyDeleteI love to read reviews on blogs - it helps me decide what products are worth buying!
ReplyDeleteVariety, no one likes to read the same repetitive subjects. Not that 1 thing is a bad thing, just a nice mix up of subjects helps to draw people in xx
ReplyDeleteI love blogs that are true to life and have a natural flow from the blogger. Just like a great comedian pulls on everyday life scenarios that get great laughs. Not just providing a technical view of the item under discussion but a generalized overview for even laymen to understand.
ReplyDeleteArticles that interest me - not very helpful, I know but I can't think what! Places you've been, things you've done, funny anecdotes but always, always spellcheck/grammar check your posts - you have the internet at your fingertips, use it!
ReplyDeletemaybe a search button so we can peruse the bog better
ReplyDeleteI like being nosey, I like an insight in other peoples lifes and how they do things.
ReplyDeleteI love variety and would like to see a searchbox x
ReplyDeleteI love tutorials on blogs with pictures

ReplyDeletea search box is always useful. And I like to see some old posts along the side bar. or also include some related post at the bottom of each blog post.

ReplyDeletekay panayi
A good search tool to find blog subjects easily would be fab! :)
ReplyDeleteI like reading reviews on films and like the food blogs because they have some excellent recipes. Most blogs I come across are good because they have interesting stories or reviews but I think film blogs, tech blogs and food blogs I enjoy viewing the most.
ReplyDeleteI like to hear that other families go through the same problems and have to make the same decisions through life. I also like reviews which help you decide whether or not to buy something so sometimes helping you save money.
ReplyDeleteI find other peoples blogs interesting
ReplyDeletehi i enjoy reading reviews of products, lots of competitions, i love reading about other peoples lives with pics aswell
ReplyDeleteI think a good blog has to have variety. So if you're primarily a review blog, or a fashion blog, or a food blog, that is perfectly fine but mix things up with personal posts, giveaways, funny posts, just to keep things fresh :)
ReplyDeleteI am just nosey and like to see what like minded people get up to in every day life.
ReplyDeleteReviews on fave things not just stuff bloggers review cause they get it free if you know what I mean, competitions, family outings and just general updates! maybe weightloss ideas and journeys if you are trying to lose weight. x
ReplyDeleteI love that blogs aren't all advertorial like magazines seem to be, I love real life opinions! x
ReplyDeleteI think for me the answer is quite random, just stumbling across something interesting at the right time! Obviously I like competitions, but I like travel, days out, holidays, good photos! Sometimes recipes catch my eye! I think good presentation and well written blogs are more eye catching so although thats not about the content as such I think its important.
ReplyDeletelots of variety
ReplyDeleteI'm a nosey moo, so I like reviews or hauls - I love lifestyle posts as well, especially if the blog owners not from my town...I love to learn about new places to visit and restaurants to try! :)
ReplyDeleteJen xx
great blogs love to read and love new layouts
ReplyDeleteI love it when someone talks about something I thought might just concern or happen to me. It's great to hear I am not alone and to get another opinion 😊
ReplyDeleteAs someone who finds it difficult to make friends thanks to a bout of depression, blogs help me to feel less alone and to make a whole new set of friends I know I can talk too.
ReplyDeleteGems x
I like learning about other peoples lives, and I like reviews! Hearing general public reviews are so important, rather than just review sites which can be manipulated!
ReplyDeleteTwo Hearts One Roof - July Fashion, Beauty Lifestyle Giveaway
i love reading blogs on what people have been up to and reviews just awkward locating then some times
ReplyDeletePassion about their blog readers, keeping in constant contact even if it's just to say hi or tell us about what an ordeal it was shopping in Tesco or a fab new haircut, tell us about people/companies/local businesses/friends who go above & beyond. Basically, tell us about you and your experiences so we can interact even if it's something we may not agree on, allow conversation & debate, ideas & suggestions about blog content - recipes, day outs, bargains, comps, gadgets, highlights, the lows and of course all the highs of life. Sorry to go on & on but it's the interaction I love through blogs. Keep doing what your doing hun! Be good, be happy & be very, very lucky xx
ReplyDeleteI'm a blogger and love other blogs for the random stuff you find on them.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see parents becoming involved more - different opinions of people being taken into account for different topics, different experiences etc. So for example peoples experiences advantages and disadvantages for breastfeeding, or special needs, behavioural problems, children first starting school, bullying etc - everyday problems which a lot of parents face.
ReplyDeleteLove the money saving tips and ideas, easy to navigate and there's a bit of everything for everyone x

ReplyDeleteI do like every day stuff....a touch of humour....no preaching....that really puts me off
ReplyDeleteSo thrilled to find your fab blog!!!!!! xx
ReplyDeleteEvening Lucy - I love reading blogs for various reasons, but mostly because of quirky - honest opinions and comments.
ReplyDeleteI have actually searched for things to make and do - such as "100 uses for toilet roll tubes / uses for jam jars" and ended up discovering some fantastic family blogs - some American and some from the UK.
I prefer family based blogs / cooking / savvy spending / saving type ones - rather than fashion or cosmetic focused ones, simply because my heart lies with my family, and make up and fashion takes a large back bench to family activities that take precedence.
Worth mentioning though - for what its worth, my hubby also reads blogs - online game ones, tech reviews, and some funny football type ones.
We have discussed the rise of blogs over the years - rather than websites, and we agree it really gives individuals a louder voice compared to being a general contributor on a forum.
I like to see random things and money saving ideas xx
ReplyDeleteRegular updates, personal ramblings and please spell check for typos (spotted 2 in the rafflecopter alone)
ReplyDeleteYou missed the full stop after the bracket! ;)
DeleteI like to see reviews on techie stuff that I do not always get or understand...

I commented then when it refreshed it was fine. must be my ancient laptop. i was reading the above comments, and i think a search bar would be great. xxxx (copying this incase it refreshes correctly, ill comment again)
ReplyDeletefigured it out, there is a 'view web version' at the bottom..... silly me
I am a bit of a blog addict, I love reviews, seeing peoples family life, what they eat, wear, a snoop round their homes. Where they go etc. So any of those would be fab. I love reading a rant and I also love hearing positive thoughts. So keep it up, yours is great, been following a while and you are fab!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading blogs which are constantly updated with interesting information. Those which are upbeat are more interesting to me. Enjoying reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteI like REAL reviews - where negatives as well as positives are mentioned. I like parenting and a bit of a nosey. i do like rafflecopter giveaways and usually have a go if I like the prize.
ReplyDeleteMore reviews and competitions
ReplyDeleteI like that it's real people talking about real things that are happening in their lives. Lots of the internet is PR sheen, which gets a bit wearing.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a search box so I could search for a specific subject easily. I love reviews especially if they are honest. Money saving ideas are always a big hit in my family x
ReplyDeletewhat makes a great blog? the person behind the blog is most important to me,and how well a blog/review is wrote thank you
ReplyDeleteI like reading little snippets about real life and how people feel about things especially relating to family and education. I have also been fortunate to have discovered lots of little craft businesses and bought lovely gifts that were just that bit different to those in the shops. Keep blogging ladies. I may join you one day - when I retire and have more time!
ReplyDeleteI like hearing about the blogger's day to day coming's and goings, reviews on thing we all use and or need and giveaway's.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy comps and also reviews of items I can make use of :)
ReplyDeleteI love reading product reviews, recipes (I get loads of ideas!) & random tips (beauty/DIY anything really!). I also enjoy holiday/travel blogs & the photos that go with them :)
ReplyDeleteI like to read blogs of all kinds but what keeps me coming back to the same ones again and again is the personal touch. Whether the post is a review, a chatty post, an informative one, a recipe or a competition, I like to see the personality of the blogger coming through.
ReplyDeleteBlogs about learning disabilities, their education and personal experiences interest me
ReplyDeleteI think your blog is fab! Although, if I were to add one suggestion, it'd be to join Bloglovin' as a lot of blogs seem to benefit from that (well, my friend does anyway lol)! :) thanks for the comp!! Faye xx
ReplyDeleteI love money saving tips in blogs. We have all had to do more budgeting so an ways of saving money is always interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm a freebie girl so competitions and freebie roundups are what I like to see in blogs :)

ReplyDeleteHazel Rea - @beachrambler
i love reviews. they give true readings of something
ReplyDeleteI love honest reviews
ReplyDeleteI love lots of photos to break up text. I really struggle with large blocks of texts and tend to lose interest. I always search blogs for reviews of things I want to buy as I find most bloggers are honest. Spelling and grammar are also quite important to me when reading written text.
ReplyDeleteI love looking at pictures and reading about your family and reviews and giveaways. It's a great blog.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading blogs because I like reading about how different people manage daily challenges. I also like reading about other people's opinions on different things, such as places to visit, things people have purchased etc. I also enjoy some of the giveaways :-)
