Review and Giveaway with Beards and Daisies - The Letterbox Florist

White rose in bouquet, taken from above
On your right is a sneak peek at the quality and insane loveliness I found when I recently received a hand-tied bouquet from the hilariously named 'Beards and Daisies'  (more about that later) to review. Isn't it amazing? I don't think I've ever seen such a perfect rose and each one of the four roses contained within the bouquet were the same quality. Not a blemish among them. Stunning. I haven't edited the photo at all, apart from to darken the background a little. Here's the best part, though. You can win an equally incredible bouquet of your own, delivered straight to your door. Read on, to find out more and see the rest of the flowers in all their glory!

So who are Beards and Daisies and, even more importantly, why?! The business was started by Jo, who decided to make the leap from a career in sales to retrain as a florist. It turned out she was pretty good at it, and, just a year later, the business is blooming (sorry!). The name began when Jo was catering for her sister's wedding, which contained a lot of beards in the wedding party (male, you'll be glad to hear!) they joked that it would be all beards and daisies on the day, and the name stuck! The business began with letterbox flowers, which are very convenient for today's lifestyle. They arrive beautifully packaged, in a sturdy box, which is delivered through the letterbox (I guess the clue is in the title!) so there is no need to leave someone at home all day, which does kind of ruin the surprise element anyway. Recently, however, the business has expanded into hand-tied bouquets, which L was thrilled about, as the box was massive. About the right size to fit a small boy in, no less.

I would have liked to have painted it green and turned him into a Minecraft creeper, but, sadly, it rained not long after this photo was taken, oops. Anyway, I digress. The joy of these hand-tied bouquets is that they come perfectly arranged, so you can just drop them in a vase and people will instantly think you are an expert at flower arranging! Allow me to demonstrate. After you remove your flowers from the the fabulous packaging...

You will be left with an expertly organised arrangement, with some carefully knotted string discreetly holding it all together. You can place your arrangement straight into the vase, still with the string holding it...

The flowers already look gorgeous, it has to be said. However, this is the fun bit, carefully cut and remove the string, allowing the blooms to gently spread outwards until...

Tada!! One perfectly arranged vase of flowers and no one will ever know you didn't do it! It's such a shame there is no way to transmit smells over the internet, as they smell divine. I can't begin to describe how lovely it is. People comment on it every time they walk past. The good news is, though, one winner will get to smell them, as Jo has kindly agreed to give away one bouquet to one lucky winner, and all you have to do is make your way through the rafflecopter below. Good luck!
