Blog Your Heart Out Award

I received a lovely comment on my blog today from Jade at Jade's Journey nominating me for a Blog Your Heart Out Award! I thought this was a lovely way to show your appreciation for fellow bloggers and I am very grateful to Jade for thinking of me and making me smile! The rules are to answer five questions, then nominate your favourite five bloggers. So, here are my answers...

Who or what encouraged you to start blogging?

I'm starting to suspect I may talk too much. Or, possibly, some people don't talk enough. Either way, I have heard a lot of comments directed at me, along the lines of  'very chatty', 'hind leg off a donkey', and even, 'verbal diarrhea'! How rude!! Anyway, I thought it was time to put all that blethering to good use, or a use anyway, so blog I did!

How do you choose what topics to blog about?

I've never really had a hard and fast rule, I just hope if I find it interesting, somebody else might too. So if I encounter a problem, or can't work out how to do something, or have a bright idea, I blog. What's important to me, is to try to keep it varied and interesting and hopeful provide something for everyone!

What is something most people don't know about you?

I suffered Symphisis Pubis Dysfunction when I had my son seven years ago. I came home from hospital on crutches and couldn't walk for four months. Although my condition improved, I have two slipped discs in my spine, as a result of the changes it caused in my body. I suffer pain every day in varying degrees and sometimes it's a struggle. I don't talk about it, because it doesn't define me, it is just something I have to deal with, like any other problem life throws at you.

What three words describe your style?

Haphazard, mismatched, budget!

What do you do when you're not blogging?

I enter competitions online. I like competitions, because they give me a little bit of hope everyday. I like surprises and sometimes I might get a little something in the post, which is lovely. I also never know what each day will bring, last year I won an iPad and a Galaxy S3, which shows anything is possible, and you never know when something will come along to brighten your day!

I would like to nominate the following 5 bloggers:

  2. Love this post, I identify with quite a bit of the blogger in you, especially the talking too much. I am accused of all those phrases. The comping is another similarity. Thanks, an interesting read and thank you for sharing the condition you are living with. Glad you try to go on despite it. xxx
