Baker Days, Cakes through the Post!

Everyone has that friend or relative who is impossible to buy for. Whether it's the person who's got everything, the minimalist, the fussy one, or, worse still (this one drives me crazy), the relative who is inconsiderate enough to live out of gift-giving range! I can't count the number of times I've pounded the streets, looking for something flat and light that won't cause me too much trauma at the post office! I think I have found the solution, though, to this annual headache and it comes in the form of cake. Who doesn't love cake?

I really don't think you can go wrong with a delicious baked sponge, particularly when there are a vast array of different designs to choose from. Did I mention they can also be personalised? It just keeps getting better! The designs are almost limitless and cater for every occasion.  You are sure to find something to suit your taste and budget from the impressive selection. Prices start from £15 for a fully postable letterbox cake. I received a letterbox Christmas cake for the purposes of this review and I thought it was lovely. The first thing that impressed me was the packaging. It came carefully packaged in a sturdy cardboard exterior box. However, when you opened the box, nestled inside was a beautiful keepsake tin and a festive cracker. It looked so appealing I am confident anyone would be thrilled to recieve it as a gift.

On opening the tin, there was a really wonderful smell, which I can only describe as the sort of smell that drags you in when you try to walk past the Baker's shop, fresh and inviting! There was also a very helpful tape, to enable removal of the cake from the tin without damage, along with some instructions on how best to do it.

The cakes  are available in sponge, chocolate chip sponge and fruit. There are also dairy free and gluten free sponge versions. If you order the birthday cake, you will find a candle, party blower and balloon in your box, so you can be sure your birthday boy or girl has everything they need! Seven day postage is free, or you can pay for a quicker service.

Whatever the occasion, Baker Days has it covered!
